Round 2 - Clio

The Muse of History.
Daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne.
The "Proclaimer"
Is often seen sitting with a scroll and accompanied by a chest of books.
She has been credited with introducing the Phoenician alphabet into Greece.
Clio had teased Aphrodite's love of Adonis, and in consequence of her wrath, Clio fell in love with Pierius, the son of Magnes and the king of Macedonia.
By Pierus, she bore Hyacinth.

Start: C-2
Exit: C-1
Warps: A-2>C-2, C-3>E-3
Fireballs: D-2, A-1
Lasers: C-2,
Smart Bomb: B-1
Hostage Total: 12
Hostages Needed: 10
Timebomb Starts At: 300

Ship Tips:

• When you first appear in Clio, you will be invincible for about two-and-a-half seconds. Go straight up, grab the first hostage, skirt around clockwise, and get the laser. You should be able to exit to the right before your invincibility wears off.

• The laser is the most effective weapon for use on Clio. Again, it is available in the first room.

• Clear out everything on the right side of the ship first except for C-1. Once you've gone back through C-2 (where you started), proceed up through the ship, back down around the left side, and take the warp in B-3. This will send you back to C-2, where you can quickly advance up to C-1 and get the last hostage.

• Since spaces are a bit tighter in Clio, take full advantage of waiting for the enemy to appear. After a while, you will remember where they will pop up, and can anticipate your moves that way.

Aargh

Takes 21 hits to defeat.

Stay under him, shooting straight up when his body is straight.

Recommended Weapon: Laser

Reason: Use the laser to take out the enemy helpers as quickly as possible. This will allow you to focus on Aargh. When Aargh comes down towards the bottom of the screen, move to the sides, or else his three-fire spread will be hard to escape.
