Round 3 - Erato

The Muse of Lyric Poetry.
Daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne.
The "Lovely"
Is seen with a lyre and sometimes wears a crown of roses.

Start: C-3
Exit: E-1
Warp: E-4>B-3
Fireballs: C-1, E-3, B-4
Lasers: C-3, A-2
Smart Bomb: B-1
Hostage Total: 12 (2 on catwalks at C-2 and D-3)
Hostages Needed: 10
Timebomb Starts At: 250

Ship Tips:

• Be extremely careful on the catwalks. When you are on them, the Defenders are the only aliens who can attack you; however, they are very narrow.

• The blue aliens will shoot fire more quickly than aliens in previous ships. If you have the laser, it is best to take them out as quickly as possible. Beware the dangers of clearing a room, however! Once a room is cleared, Ricky moves faster....and so do the Defenders' shots.

• Try to clear out the left side of the ship first. Since you only need ten hostages to access the exit, the two residing in E-4 can be overlooked, and a great deal of runaround avoided.

• Beware of tight spaces. They will often be inhabited by more than one alien. For example, the dead end in the center of B-4 will eventually produce two aliens, while the areas on either side only produce one each.

• The room with the exit, E-1, is Erato's last chance to kill Ricky. A blue alien will appear right at the door when you walk in. Take it slow, line up your shot, and then quickly skirt around under the bottomless pit, up along the right side, grab the last hostage, and prepare for Tacapy.

Tacapy

Takes 14 hits to defeat.

Stand to the left of him. Aim between his eyes, firing as rapidly as possible. Tacapy can be defeated before he gets close to you.

Recommended Weapon: Fireball

Reason: The fireball can shoot rapidly. The alien helpers that fly out of Tacapy's eyes can be destroyed with a wide burst while damaging Tacapy.
